Doris L. Moore

Doris Helen Lee Moore, 97, joined her Lord and Savior in Heaven on the morning of Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

Doris was born in Andersonville, Georgia, on August 23, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Bryant Allen and Mattie Louise Lee. As a retired Administrative Specialist, Doris served 36 years as a civilian on Robins Air Force Base. She was of the Baptist faith and a devoted member of Central Baptist Church since 1960. Doris enjoyed taking part in the Joyner Sunday School Class and working with Vacation Bible School. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mother, and a friend to all.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Paul George Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula J. Moore of Atlanta; son, Berry A. “Butch” Moore (Sara) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Travis Moore (Janet), Josh Moore, Tazha Layman (Kevin), Tarah Faiella (Jason) and Teresa Turner (Tony); five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation with Doris’ family and friends will take place on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service celebrating Doris’ life well lived will immediately follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery where Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband. Dr. Bob Dilks will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made in memory of Doris L. Moore to Central Baptist Church 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
