Dotty Onsted, 81, entered into rest on Saturday, October 24, 2009.
Mrs. Onsted was born on October 26, 1927 in Bleckley County. A lifelong resident of Houston County, she worked in the Houston County Tax Commissioner's office until her retirement after thirty-two years of faithful service. She was a Deacon of Warner Robins First Presbyterian Church where she also taught Sunday School and served as moderator of Women of the Church for many years. A charter member of the Pilot Club of Houston County, she had a heart for shut-ins whom she loved to visit. Her parents, George Busbee and Cora Loyd Busbee, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of twenty-one years, Ken Onsted, Warner Robins; son, Billy McInvale (Marsha), Parker, Colorado; step-sons, Jeff Onsted (Marcine), Kathleen, and Keith Onsted (Gail), Macon; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Warner Robins First Presbyterian Church, Reverend Paula Hoffman officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
