Dorothy Jean Elledge

Dorothy J. Brinkley Elledge, 70, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2003, at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Macon Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Elledge was born in Griffin and lived most of her life in Warner Robins. She was a homemaker and was married for 55 years to her surviving husband, James “Tex” Elledge of Warner Robins. Her parents, George and Ethel (Carter) Brinkley, preceded her in death.

Survivors also include her daughter, Margaret Carolyn Pickles, Lockport, NY; sons, James I. Elledge, Jr., Warner Robins, and Donald G. Elledge, Riverview, Fla.; sister, Mary Frances Johnston, Griffin; brothers, Willie B. Brinkley and Curtis L. Brinkley, both of Warner Robins; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

McCullough Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
