Dorothy Mae Shelley

Mrs. Dorothy Hulett Shelley, 82, widow of the late Kenneth Frederick Shelley, Sr., passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Pineview Health Care Center, after an extended illness.

Mrs. Shelley was born on August 26, 1924 in McRae, Georgia, the daughter of the late Jack Allen Hulett and Bertha Hulett. She was of the Pentecostal faith. After 24 years of service, Dot retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base.

She will be missed by her three sons and their wives, Kenneth F. “Freddie” and Robin Shelley, Summerville, SC; Leonard F. and Phyllis Shelley, Jackie W. and Rita Shelley, all of Warner Robins; brother, Walter Jack Hulett, Milan; five grandchildren, Cassandra Main, Arlington, WA; Dale Shelley, Tacoma, WA; Casey Shelley, Lisa Shelley, and Jason Shelley, all of Warner Robins, five step-grandchildren, Randy Dempsey, Crestview, FL; Bruce Johnson, N. Charleston, SC; Martin Johnson, Spartanburg, SC, Beth-Ann Lapoint, Tamra-Lin Boan, both of Summerville, SC; and a number of great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the donor’s favorite charity in memory of Mrs. Shelley.
