Dorothy McAnally Cowart passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at her residence. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 16 at First United Methodist Church with interment following in Stubbs Cemetery in Abbeville, GA. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. The family may be contacted at her residence.

Born in Enfield, England, Mrs. Cowart was retired from Belk Matthews as a Buyer. She was a veteran of World War II, having served in the English Army at Winchester where she was part of the War Office. She was a member of the Warner Robins Senior Citizens and First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, first Mr. Julius McAnally and later, Mr. James Cowart. Her parents, Kenneth George and Dorothy Lily Way, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Julius M. McAnally, Augusta, GA; Brian D. McAnally, Perry; daughters, Margaret M. Yohe, Warner Robins; Pamela Rosenbalm, Bristol, TN; son, David C. McAnally, Safety Harbor, FL; sister, Eileen Pryor, Polegate, England; brother, Brian Way, Friston, England; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
