Nell Leverett, 82, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Nell was born on February 4, 1935 in Hawkinsville, Georgia to the late Jack and Lou Martin. Her life was devoted to faithfully serving her husband and raising her children with love. Nell was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Centerville where she was a much-loved Sunday School teacher and member of the bereavement committee. Also a member of the Warner Robins Garden Club, she enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and crocheting. Nell will forever be remembered with love and affection by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Joseph Crowder Leverett, Jr; and five sisters.
Nell leaves her memory behind with her loving sons, Jason Leverett (Donna) of Kathleen and Joey Leverett (Kim) of Gainesville; grandchildren, Koey E., Kara Grace, Charlie, and Chance Leverett; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 5th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6th at First Baptist Church of Centerville. Following the service, Mrs. Leverett will be laid to rest next to her husband in First Baptist Church Centerville Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Nell to First Baptist Church Centerville Cemetery, 108 Church St., Centerville, GA 31028, to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088, or to your favorite charity.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Summerhill, Heart of Georgia Hospice, and Kingsford Assisted Living for all of their love and kindness shared during the past years.
