Douglas Richard Miles

Major Douglas Richard Miles, USAF (Ret)

Warner Robins – Douglas Richard Miles, 51, entered into rest on April 12, 2010.

Mr. Miles was born on February 2, 1959 in Bangor, Maine. Major Miles was a United States Air Force veteran, retiring after obtaining the rank of Major. While serving in the Air Force, Major Miles was a Communications Officer and a member of the 5th Mob. He participated in the Iraq War, also known as the Occupation of Iraq, and in the second Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, also known as Operation New Dawn.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Deborah Kimbrough Miles, children, Daniel and Darryl Miles, all of Warner Robins; parents, Richard and Nancy Knapp Miles, Destin, FL; sister, Ruth Ann Miles, and brothers, Jeffery Miles and Steven Miles.

Visitation will be Thursday evening, April 15, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010, in Andersonville National Cemetery.
