Douglas Shumate, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, November 28, 2015.
Douglas was born on March 1, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He retired civil service after forty one years of service at various bases including Robins Air Force Base. Westside Church of Christ was his church home.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of nineteen years, Sheena Shumate; children, Jason Shumate, Steven Shumate, both of Atlanta and Anna Cheney of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey and Nicholas and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
