Dr. Carlos Fabian Barroso III of Atlanta died July 1, 2004. A funeral Mass will be said Saturday, July 3, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Funeral services in Atlanta and visitations in Atlanta and Warner Robins were held Friday, July 2, 2004.
Dr. Barroso was born in Havana, Cuba, moved to the United States when he was five years old, and became a naturalized citizen of the United States. In 1977, he graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Georgia. A 1981 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, Dr. Barroso was currently an anesthesiologist at South Fulton Hospital in Atlanta. He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Atlanta Fencing Club. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Boo Barroso; daughter, Audrey Barroso, and son Carlos Barroso, both of Atlanta; parents, Marta and Carlos Barroso II, Warner Robins; sister and brother-in-law, Maria and Jeffrey Butler, Lawrenceville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mario and Jacqueline Barroso, Warner Robins, and Andres and Angela Barroso, Macon.
