Duane Alton Dunbar, Sr.

Duane Dunbar, Sr., 75, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014.

Duane was born on March 13, 1939 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. Duane was a truck driver for Bender and Loudon and retired from the Teamsters Union. He was a star athlete at Benton Harbor High School, an avid golfer, and a member of the American Legion. Duane was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His parents, Elmer and Bonya Johnson Dunbar, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Duane A. Dunbar, Jr. (Tina) of Evans, Georgia, Scott E. Dunbar (Kim) of Mattawan, Michigan, John E. Dunbar (Brenna) of Warner Robins, Barbara L. Kuehl (Bob) of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Michael D. Dunbar of PawPaw, Michigan; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; and two former wives, Deronda "Sue" Dunbar of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Mary Lubovich of Holland, Michigan.

All services will be private.
