Durward L. Bryan

Durward L. Bryan, 97, went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Wednesday, December 31, 2014.

Durward was born on December 6, 1917 in Dexter, Georgia to the late William and Leila Wood Bryan. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. In his leisure time, he enjoyed being a Blue Lodge Mason and Shriner and member of the Macon Motorboat Club. Buckhorn United Methodist in Dexter was his church home.

He was preceded in death by beloved wife of 73 years, Francis Jeanette Bryan; parents; and brother, Charles Stripling.

Durward's memory will forever live in the hearts of his loving sons, Harold Bryan (Barbara) of Eatonton and Alan Bryan (Nancy) of Warner Robins; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and many adoring friends.

Services will be private.
