SMSgt Edgar E. Turner, USAF (ret)
Warner Robins – Edgar E. Turner, 59, entered into rest on Sunday, March 21, 2010.
Mr. Turner was born on March 19, 1951 Newton, North Carolina. He was a member of Robins Air Force Base Chapel and worked with the youth group. His son, Anthony Lance Turner and father, Audie E Turner, preceded him in death.
With pride and honor, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-eight years, retiring as a SMSgt. He later worked in civil service as a Personnel Readiness clerk. He enjoyed bowling on a league at Robins Air Force Base while spending time with friends.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Petra Turner; sons, Swen Kristopher (Laura), Australia; Dean Bryant, Erik Ryan Turner, of Warner Robins; mother, Nancy Louis Turner, Newton, North Carolina; sister, Cathy Carver, Newton, North Carolina; brother, Tim Turner (Lisa), Conover, North Carolina; nephew, Brandon Carver, niece, Krista Turner, extended family, Larry and Mo Wilson and Michael Keene; father and mother-in-law, Fritz and Annie Herbold, brothers and sisters-in-law all of Germany and the many German friends who live in Warner Robins.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Georgia Veterans War Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to American Cancer Society Hope Lodge, 1552 Shoup Ct., Decatur, Georgia 30033.
