Edna Blanch Therrell, 91, entered into rest on Saturday, January 14, 2012.
Mrs. Therrell was born on February 2, 1920 in Laurens, South Carolina to the late Charles and Maude Jennings Motte. She was an active member of East Park Baptist Church, working with the babies in the nursery, and as church Hostess, among many other activities. Edna had been a resident of Warner Robins since 2002 moving from Greenville where she lived on Westminster Drive. She retired from Westboro Weaving Company. In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond Therrell and son, William David Therrell, all preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter and son in law, Jo Ann and Ralph Smith, Warner Robins; daughter in law, Ann Therrell, Greenville, South Carolina; sister, Catherine Smith, Charleston, South Carolina; grandchildren, Johnny Therrell, Bill Therrell (Cassie), all of Greenville, South Carolina; and six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 with services to follow in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Greenville, South Carolina. The Reverend Spencer LeGrand will officiate. Entombment will be Wednesday, January 18, 2012 in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to East Park Baptist Church, 12 Ebaugh Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina, 29607.
