Edna Kate Holland

Edna Kate Holland, 93, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 23, 2010.

Mrs. Holland was born on September 5, 1916 in Taylor County, Georgia. A devout Christian, she was proud to call First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins her church home. She was active in the Ladies Circle and Sunday School class at church. Edna loved to travel, and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. She found great joy in flower gardening and was enthusiastic about reading. Her husband,
Howard Holland; parents, Newton Edward Peterman and Jeffie Judson Gualtney; grandson, Jeff Holland;
and ten siblings, Elie Peterman, Mentha Whidby, Ruby Stringfield, Theodore Peterman, William Peterman, Quida Hortman, Eugene Peterman, Bernard Peterman, Margaret Poole, and Carl "Pete" Peterman, all preceded her in death.

She will live in the hearts of her loving children, Fay Ray (Gene), Warner Robins; Jerry Holland (Joanne), Jonesboro; sisters, Peggy P. West, Hiawassee; Francis P. Murray, Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Susan Hayes, Katie Smith, Regina Ray, and Richard Ray; great-grandchildren, Connie Borden, Justin Burgreen, Maggie Hayes, Leslie Hayes, Katherine Douglass, Allison Douglass, Katelynn Smith, and Abby Ray; great-great-grandchildren, Trent Burgreen, Tana Burgreen, Trent Borden, Brock Burrows, Emma Kate Miles, Katie Beth Douglass, sisters-in law; Nell Peterman, Rhunelle Peterman, Mary Jane Peterman, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening, March 24, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Reverend Missy Blumenthal will officiate. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins, 205 North Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
