Eddie Dunn, 91, entered into rest on Wednesday, March 12, 2008.
Mr. Dunn was born on September 13, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of seven boys. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army, and was a World War II veteran. From 1965 until 2006, he resided in Charleston, South Carolina, where he worked at the Naval Shipyards for a number of years and was an active member of NARFE. He was a lifetime member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. His hobbies included model railroading and playing the trumpet. His parents, John and Nellie Dunn, preceded him in death.
Family members include his wife, Emilie Dunn, Warner Robins; son, Warren (Lynn) Dunn, Warm Springs; daughters, Suzanne (Paul) Dunn-Poorman, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Michael (Misty) Dunn, Dr. Seth A. Dunn, Paul Kenneth Poorman III, and Declan Poorman; great-grandson, Gage Dunn.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral mass will celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with committal following in Andersonville National Cemetery.
