Edward Charles Van Allen

CMSgt. Edward Charles Van Allen, Jr., USAF (Ret.), 80, entered into rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Edward was born on July 12, 1943, in Riverside, California to the late Edward Charles Van Allen, Sr. and Isabelle May Murray.  In his professional life, Edward attained the highest enlisted rank, Chief Master Sergeant, after 26 years of honorable service in the United States Air Force. He was a talented musician who played the drums. In his free time, he enjoyed eating sweets, traveling, and working in his yard.

In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his loving wife of 30 years, Erlinda Van Allen and his sister, Irene Van Allen.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Jon Van Allen and Janette Bush (Jay); grandchildren, Jimmy Bush (Corey), Emily Bush, Charleigh Van Allen (Rachel), Chandler Van Allen, and Chase Van Allen; great-grandchildren, Bowdie Bush, Raleigh Bush, and Fisher Bush; and siblings, Carol Brandon (Jerry), Joan Hayes, and Jack Van Allen.

At the family’s request, these services will be private.
