MSgt Edwin Pelter Wagnon, USAF, (Ret.)
Warner Robins – Edwin Pelter Wagnon, 87, entered into rest on Monday, February 1, 2010.
Mr. Wagnon was born on August 3, 1922, in Macon. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and participated in WW II and the Korean wars before retiring as MSgt. After, retirement he worked for the Houston County Board of Commissioners as the Houston County Emergency Management Agency Director. He later went to work for the Georgia Emergency Management Agency where he was a Master Instructor for twenty-two years, and later became a life time member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. His parents, Clifford T. Wagnon and Allie Tidwell Wagnon, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Lois J. Wagnon, Warner Robins; children, Betty Akins, Woodstock, Georgia; Lt.Col. Eddie Wagnon, Montgomery, Alabama; Robert Ekerberg, Guyton, Georgia; Major Retired Dick Ekerberg, Pryor, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family suggests donations can be made to Warner Robins Animal Shelter, 208 Stalnaker Drive, Warner Robins Georgia 31088.
