Edwin Williams, 83, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016.
Edwin was born on August 24, 1932 in Cadwell, Georgia to the late Elisha and Lessie Howell Williams. With great pride and honor he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Edwin lived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for 55 years where he owned and operated Williams Exxon Service Center for many years, before moving to Warner Robins in 2009. Edwin also drove a race car and was a race car fan. In his spare time he enjoyed antique cars, bowling, softball, and University of Georgia and Warner Robins Demon's Football.
Along with his parents, his siblings, Annie L. Mullis, Lonnie Pearl Bryant, Marjorie Newsome, and Betty Williams, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 36 years, Jacqueline A. Williams of Warner Robins; children, Candy Hoffer (David) of Pennsylvania; Becky Fletcher (Michael) of California; Debbie Walsh (Patrick), Michael Williams (Kathy) and Robyn Cox (John) all of Pennsylvania; 8 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings Elmer Williams of Dublin; Sarah Brown of Warner Robins; Elbert Williams of Dublin; and Wayne Williams of East Dublin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2016 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Edwin will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery, with military honors.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Edwin to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Ga 31088.
