Elaine Lee, 75, joined her husband of 22 years, Frank Edward “Ed” Lee, Jr., in Heaven on the morning of Saturday, October 29, 2022, just a few hours after he passed away.
Born in San Antonio, TX on June 15, 1947, Elaine was the daughter of the late Norman Kenneth Cobb and Cora Lee King. She had a passion for real estate and was privileged to have dedicated over 30 years to serving her local community as a broker/realtor for Fickling and Company before retiring. Though she was successful in her real estate career, she was better yet a great mom to her children. It was evident that Elaine was each of her family members’ biggest supporter in any and every facet of their lives. She had a great sense of humor that would instantly lift the mood wherever she might be. Elaine also enjoyed teaching kids swim lessons over the years. She was a faithful follower of the Lord, as well, and enjoyed attending Central Baptist Church with Ed. In her spare time, she loved spending time with her family and watching Fox News with her husband.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Cobb.
Elaine or “Lainey” as known by her family, is survived by her loving sons, David Mark Ruzic of Warner Robins and Steven Ruzic (Wendy) of Kathleen; grandchildren, Steven Ruzic, Jr., Austin Ruzic (Libby), Faith Erica Lee, James Edward Lee, Cooper Lee, Audra Lee and Camden Lee; great-grandson, Sutton Ruzic; siblings, Norman Kenneth Cobb, Jr. (Darlene) of Crestview, FL, Kerry Lee Cobb (Nancy) of Atlanta and Geana Sowell (Bobby) of Milton, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Elaine and Ed, will take place on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Stephen Byrd officiating. Elaine and Ed will be laid to rest next to each other in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Elaine to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
