Elbert Z. Parrish

Elbert Z. Parrish, 89, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Houston Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7, 2005 from 7 until 9 PM at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 277 Martin Luther King Blvd. Macon, Georgia 31201.

Mr. Parrish was born in Wheeler County, Georgia. He was a member of Pinetta Baptist Church in Irwin County. He retired from Robins Air Force Base as a Production Controller. He served in the United States Army as a Tech Sergeant during World War II. Mr. Parrish was part owner of Houston Marine and Houston Mattress in our local area. His parents, John and Suzie Parrish, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Parrish, Warner Robins; daughter, Sandra Hall (Jim), Warner Robins; son, Gary Parrish, Warner Robins; grandsons, Tim Hall (Michelle) Brunswick; Brian Hall, Warner Robins; Jeff Parrish (Bonnie), Atlanta; granddaughter, Kimberly Jackson (Kenneth) Warner Robins; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Harold Parrish, Irwinville; sisters, Louise Harper, Albany; Vera Holston, Alpharetta; Carolyn Hester, Macon; Reatha Rollens, Barnesville.
