Eleanor Odom was born in Garrison, North Dakota on June 16, 1927 to the late Elvera Klinkhammer O’Shea and Joseph O’Shea. From high school, she pursued a career with the government, first in Washington D.C, then to Fort Jackson, SC, and finally retiring from Robins Air Force Base after 32 years of service. Mrs. Odom was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she devoted her time to working on many committees, as well as the Christian Service Center Food Bank. She enjoyed being with family, reading, travel and a good game of dominoes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Odom, Sr. and son Charles J. Odom Jr. She will be remembered and held in the hearts of her children, Sandra O. Coburn (Bruce), Maureen Bennett (Spencer), Robert Odom (Janice), and Willis C. Odom (Mary Beth); 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Mrs. Odom will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
