Elizabeth Ann Edmonds, a cherished wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 93.
Born on December 4, 1930, in Pavo, Brooks County, Georgia, Elizabeth was the beloved daughter of the late Robert M. and Mary Alice Wade Hutchinson. She graduated from Pavo High School in 1948. In a whirlwind romance, Elizabeth met and married the love of her life, William Edmonds, after only two weeks of dating. Their bond flourished over 69 years of marriage, marked by unwavering love.
As a supportive military wife, Elizabeth embraced life both stateside and abroad, traveling the world and making lasting memories. Her hobbies included gardening and fishing. Following the passing of her husband, Elizabeth moved to Senoia to be closer to her daughter.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Hope Center Memory Care in Fayetteville, particularly the Whispering Pines community, for the compassionate care provided to Elizabeth. Additionally, they are grateful to Southern Grace Hospice for their support during her final days.
Elizabeth will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
In addition to her husband, and parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her son, James W. Edmonds.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Cynthia Edmonds of Senoia.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Parkway Memorial Gardens. Reverend Marty Watson will officiate. Afterward, Elizabeth Ann Edmonds will be laid to rest.
