Ella Sue Dycus

April 23, 1935 — June 2, 2022

On the afternoon of Thursday, June 2, 2022, Ella Sue Dycus passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 87. She was reunited with her beloved husband, Bobby Joe Dycus, her parents, John and Mattie E. Beard, and others who had gone before.

Born in Tippah County, MS on April 23, 1935, Ella was a dedicated housewife and caring mother to her three children. In addition, she was a devout Christian woman who was most passionate in her love for her Savior. Ella faithfully served as a member for many years at Sandy Valley Baptist Church.

To cherish her memory, she leaves her loving daughter, Pamela Lemmond of Warner Robins; sons, Robert L. Dycus (Hae-Me) of Titusville, FL and John Dycus of Reynolds; grandchildren, Matthew Lemmond (Jacquel), Kyle Lemmond, Susan Tadsen (Joseph) and Holly Dycus; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Ella will be laid to rest next to Bobby with a private graveside service in Andersonville National Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Ella to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
