Ellen Ann Myrick, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Ellen was born on September 12, 1941, in Columbia, Mississippi to the late James and Annie Willcutt. She grew up and graduated from High School in Birmingham, Alabama. From there, she went to cosmetology school to become a licensed hairdresser before becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. When her kids started school, she followed them by working in the school cafeteria on Robins Air Force Base. She then worked at the base commissary for 20 years before returning to hairdressing, which she did until a few years ago. In her free time, Ellen enjoyed crocheting, her bowling team with her husband, golfing with her husband, and taking 5K walks, which was a hobby she continued until she was no longer able. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Michael Myrick, her grandson, Troy Myrick, and her brother, James Willcutt.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Michael E. Myrick (Sandra), Margaret A. Wenclawiak (Michael), and David W. Myrick; grandchildren, Christen Myrick, Michael Wenclawiak, Matthew Wenclawiak, and James Wenclawiak; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Myrick; and sister, Clara Tidwell (Ronnie).
