Ellis Miller Nelson

Ellis Miller Nelson, 38, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2004. Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 10, at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Perry. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Friday from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Crossroads United Methodist Church, Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, 1600 Main St., Perry, GA 31060.

Mr. Nelson was born in Ocala, Florida, but was raised in Dublin, Georgia. He attended Young Harris College and graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelors Degree in 1988. A 1991 graduate of Atlanta Law School, he was currently an Attorney at Law with Nelson & Smith, LLP in Macon. Mr. Nelson was a member of the Georgia State Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and he attended Crossroads United Methodist Church in Perry.

Survivors include his wife, Tamara A. Nelson, Kathleen; parents, Carl K. Nelson, Jr., and Peggy Miller Nelson, Dublin; two sons, Forrest Nelson, Kathleen, and Eric Dibert, Florida State University; brother, C. Krather Nelson III (Lynda Nelson), Dublin; sister, Dorothy Nelson Thacker (Bradley Thacker), Newburgh, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
