Mrs. Eloise Peterman Herrington, 89, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2002 at Summerhill Elderliving Home in Perry. Visitation will be Monday evening, December 30, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. A private service will be held on Tuesday in Andersonville National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 277 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Suite 201, Macon, GA, 31201.
Born in Butler, Georgia, Mrs. Herrington had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Ladies Auxiliary of Fleet Reserves #89, and the Khem Temple Daughters of the Nile. She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Macon. Mrs. Herrington was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Oliver E. Herrington, who was a Pearl Harbor Survivor.
Survivors include her daughters, Faye Rutherford, Fort Valley; Nina Scott, Danville, KY; grandchildren, C. Kristen Bailey, Bonaire; Sherrie Ferrell, Fort Valley; Michael Rutherford, Fort Valley; Angela Scott, Danville, KY; Stephen Scott, Danville, KY; and two great-granddaughters, Katie Ferrell, Fort Valley; and Caitlin Sabine, Bonaire.
