Eloise Vinson Murphy

Eloise Vinson Murphy, 91, formerly of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, surrounded by her family.

Eloise was born on October 24, 1920 in Merom, Indiana to the late Ferd and Estella Johnson. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Eloise was preceded in death by her first husband, William ''Bill'' Vinson; brother, Bill Johnson; and sister, Norma O'Neal.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Richard H. Murphy; children, Sherry Asbell (Cecil), Sally Vinson Thomason, Pam Sanford (Gary), Jimmy Vinson (Debra), and stepdaughter, Valerie Murphy Brewster; brother, Wayne Johnson (Naomi); grandchildren, Steven Asbell (Johanna) and Brad Asbell; four great-grandchildren; and several step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The family will accept flowers or donations may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
