Emily G. Teagle, 91, died peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at the Houston Medical Center.
Born on August 24, 1922 in Valdosta, Emily was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John O'Neal. She was the retired owner and teacher for "The Little Red School House" kindergarten. Emily never lost her love for teaching and all of the many students that she taught. She was a long time member of the Warner Robins (Corder Road) Church of Christ and taught Sunday School there for many years.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Becky Domingue (Dave) and Kay Lacy (Tim); son, Sonny Teagle; grandsons, Jason Teagle and David Domingue; granddaughter, Brianda Domingue; brother, Glenn O'Neal (June) of Valdosta; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Emily was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-seven years, Ira C. Teagle, Jr.; her mother and father, John and Maude O'Neal; sisters, Thelma Grant, Carrie Willis, Mattie Lou Schroer, Lena Bennett, Margaret Fredericks and Mary O'Neal; and brothers, Johnnie O'Neal, Charles O'Neal, Lonnie O'Neal and Earl O'Neal.
The family would like to thank the fine staff at Summers Landing for their care and support.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Minister Gene Stillwell and Minister Tim Childs officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Raintree Village Children's Home, 3757 Johnston Road, Valdosta, GA 31601 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
