Emmett Lee Mcguffin, Sr.

July 19, 1935 — May 18, 2006

Emmett Lee McGuffin, Sr. 70, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22 at Christ United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Andersonville National Cemetery, with full military honors. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the donor’s favorite charity.

Mr. McGuffin was born on July 19, 1935 in Stockdale, Texas. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Mr. McGuffin was employed at Anchor Glass as an Electronics Technician. A retired veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country during the Vietnam Era and he was a gunner on the B-52 bombers. In addition to being a member of the Air Force Gunner’s Association, he was a life time member of the VFW. His parents, Claude Monroe McGuffin and Katie Davis McGuffin, and brothers, Pete, Luke, Jay, Shorty, and Claude “Babe” preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Janet McGuffin, Warner Robins; children, Emmett Lee McGuffin, Jr. (Rosina), Bonaire; Julie Pitzer (Gary), Byron; Russell W. McGuffin (Robin), Cochran; Clinton McGuffin (Chantel), Wyoming; brother, Allen McGuffin, Hondo, TX; and ten grandchildren.
