Ernest A. Tischer, Jr., 97, of 129 Bonanza Drive, Bonaire, Georgia passed away on Thursday the 10th of May 2007.
Mr. Tischer was born on the 26th of October 1909 in New York City, New York. He was a member of the Warner Robins Countryside Christian Church. Mr. Tischer served with the State of Maryland Minutemen/National Guard. He was a Private Pilot and served with the Civil Air Patrol. He served the Fort Valley and Warner Robins communities as a member of the Lions and Amateur Radio Clubs. He was an amateur radio operator with the call of K4KIC. Ernest was a Shriner, 32 degree York Rite and Master Mason with the Fort Valley Lodge # 110 F&AM. He was a retired salesman having been in the food and amateur radio business.
As a loving husband for over sixty five years, he was widowed by his wife Weltha (1998 deceased) and also predeceased by his daughter, Marilyn Ewald and granddaughter, Cynthia J. Carroll. He is survived by his son, Carleton B. Tischer and his wife, Josephine “Jo”, of Bonaire; daughters, Coralyn Wilder and her husband, Phil, of Colorado; Frances Gaskey of Texas; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, May 11, at 129 Bonanza Drive, Bonaire, Georgia 31005. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at First Christian Church of Perry.
