Ernest Lamar Everett, 89, passed away Tuesday evening September 13, 2005, at Pinegate retirement community. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 15, 2005, from 7 until 9 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Central Baptist Church (Joy in the Journey), 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
Mr. Everett was born in Orange Hill, Florida. He was a charter member of Central Baptist Church. He was retired Civil Service from Robins Air Force Base and worked for many years in Warner Robins as a watch and clock repairman. During the Battle of Hedgerow at Normandy he received the Purple Heart. His parents, Fairfax and Vergie Everett, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Tiney Worthington Everett, Warner Robins; daughters, Jo Ann Benefield (Barry), Kennesaw, Georgia; Jan Gray (Al), Macon, Georgia; son, Randy Everett (Kyong), Bonaire, Georgia; grandchildren, Mary Ann Foster, Tucker, Georgia; Gina Waters, Macon, Georgia; Melanie Gunderman, Kennesaw, Georgia; Kyle Everett, Warner Robins, Georgia; Ben Gray, Kennesaw, Georgia; Courtney Everett, Bonaire, Georgia; Zachry Bench, San Antonio, Texas.
