Ernest James Pugh, Jr., 70, entered into rest on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Ernest was born on January 14, 1954, in Concord, California, eventually moving to Warner Robins, Georgia where he’s lived for 20 years. A true patriot, he enlisted in the United States Marines in transportation where he honorably served for 28 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He’d carry this expertise on to his civil service career at Robins Air Force Base as a transportation manager. During his life, he worked with the Red Cross as a station manager, traveling all around the world to assist where he could. Among all the battles Ernest faced, leukemia was one of the hardest he endured. He made it through the highs and the lows with his easy-going, funny personality and his ability to make anyone smile. In his free time, Robert could be found doing an array of interesting things. He was a private pilot who loved to travel the skies, a scuba diver who loved to explore the depths of the ocean, and a history buff who enjoyed delving into the past. He will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

His parents, Ernest J. Pugh, Sr. and Coletta M. Pugh, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Aneldred “Nel” Pugh; children, Sasha Klepper (Mike) of San Diego, California, Eric Bradford of Alpine, California, Cindi Pugh of North Carolina, Jennifer Pugh of Santee, California, Francesca “Franki” Pugh of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Sonia Stewart (Terry) of Winder, Georgia, Charles Knoll (Christina) of Aurora, Illinois, and Samantha Cicone, of Winder Georgia; several brothers, along with many grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

At the family’s request, all services will be private.
