Ernie Ross Folds

Ernie Folds, loving husband, father, and grandfather, was called to the Lord on the afternoon of Sunday, June 25, 2017. He was 69 years old.

Ernie was born in Newnan, Georgia on April 15, 1948 and was of the Baptist faith. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force serving his country during the Vietnam War. Following his military career, Mr. Folds went on to work as an electronics mechanic at Robins Air Force Base with 39 years of civil service. Quiet but humble, Ernie was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and camping.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Enoch and Faye Phillips Folds, and his brother, Ronald Folds.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 46 years, Cheryl Folds; his son, Tracey Folds and his wife, Tasha of Warner Robins; and his grandchildren, Noelle and Kira Liscombe, and Trace Folds, all of Warner Robins.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 29th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Baldwin officiating. Afterwards, Mr. Folds will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
