Esther Ruth Howard

December 14, 1958 — September 19, 2024

Warner Robins

Esther Ruth Howard, 65, entered into rest on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Esther was born on December 14, 1958, in Macon, Georgia to the late Edward and Ruth Williams. Esther was a vibrant woman with a heart open to new experiences and a spirit of exploration that took her across the country—from the rolling plains of Texas to the historic streets of Washington D.C., the sun-drenched coasts of Florida, and the majestic mountains of Colorado; no matter where she went, she enjoyed being somewhere new.

A true lover of the outdoors, Esther found peace and happiness in the simple pleasures of nature. Whether fishing on a quiet lake, camping beneath the stars, or tending to her garden, she connected deeply with nature. Esther was also a woman of many talents and hobbies. She could be found floating on skates, twirling on the dance floor, or experimenting in the kitchen with her favorite recipes. Her artistic soul came to life through drawing, and her love for music filled her home, with the sounds of The Allman Brothers frequently playing in the background. Television brought her moments of relaxation, but nothing brought her greater joy than the time she spent with her family.

Esther's life was one lived with passion, laughter, and love, and her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Esther was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald “Runt” Howard.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Roberto Luna; children, Ronald Howard, Elijah Luna, Jasmine Luna, Zoe Vance, Kristen Vance, and Sierra Torres; grandchildren, Brittney Howard, Blade Howard, and Colton Howard; great-grandchildren, Ivory Sparks, Billy Sparks, and John Sparks; along with siblings, Edwina Lower, Ann Granger, Jean Kitchens, and Sarah Nixon (Betty).

Visitation will be Sunday, September 29, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
