Esther Rebecca Adams Platania

Esther Rebecca Adams Platania, 91, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

Esther was born on June 21, 1923 in Reading, Pennsylvania. She worked for L.V. Osigian as a bookkeeper at The Furniture Mart and The Penny Pincher's Shop until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family and friends and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Her husband, Joseph E. Platania; parents, Hiram and Amy Thompson Adams; and siblings, Albert Adams and Jane Beidler, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her three nieces, Sally Adams of Ridgecrest, California, Janet Kelly of Reading, Pennsylvania, and Carolyn Tibbetts of Birdsboro, Pennsylvania; very special beloved family, Greg, Delores, and Gabbie Lewis, Trey and Jeremy Easterling; and her beloved boys "Rudy" and "Max".

Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
