Ethel Bill, 84, entered into rest on January 1, 2023.
Ethel was born on November 3, 1938 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Lewis Skeeter and Viola Allen. Ethel graduated from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1988 and retired as the Depot Engine Manager at Robins AFB after 21 years of service. She was a faithful member of Bonaire First Baptist Church and a member of Heart of Georgia Quilt Guild. She was a volunteer for her church Vacation Bible School several years and was a Den Mother for her sons. Ethel loved her family, her dogs, making quilts, reading, feeding the birds, and working in her flower garden. Along with her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Bill, and her sisters, Doris S. Stanley and Esther S. Kelso. Her memory will be cherished by her sons, Donald L. Bill (Angie) of Miamisburg, Ohio, and David S. Bill (Lynn) of Milledgeville, Georgia; grandson, Michael A. Bill (Laura) of Macon, Georgia; step-grandson, Bill Lang (Naomi) of Warner Robins; great-grandchildren, Rachael S. Bill, Jayden Smith, and Willow Lang.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Parkway Memorial Gardens, where Ethel will be laid to rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of The Humane Society of Houston County at PO Box 9588, Warner Robins, GA 31095 or Bonaire First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 179, Bonaire, GA 31005.
