February 5, 1954 — February 4, 2022

Eugene “Gene” Hodges, Sr. passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2022, one day short of his 68th birthday.

Born to the late Mr. Nero Hodges, Sr. and Mrs. Emma Mae Cox Hodges, Gene was born on February 5, 1954, and raised in Peach County, in Byron, Georgia. During his golden years, Gene enjoyed fishing, playing pool, bowling, playing horseshoes, and dominoes. He took great delight in winning at any game he played and spending time with his grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
