Eugene Joseph Murray

Eugene Joseph Murray, 88, entered into rest on Tuesday, May 8, 2012.

Mr. Murray was born on August 26, 1923 in Dubois, Pennsylvania. He was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Never losing sight of his patriotism, he was a lifetime member of the Marine Corps League Department 970, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #658, both in Macon, Georgia, China Marine Association and the Sixth Marine Division. In addition, he was also a lifetime member of National Association of Retired Federal Employees' and the American Association of Retired Persons. Eugene retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base. His parents, Michael N. and Stella Mae Murray, three sisters, and four brothers, all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Haruko "Kay" Murray, Warner Robins; children, Patricia Mae Lamberth (Don), Montezuma; Barbara Harte, (Bill), Warner Robins; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home. Inurnment with full military honors will be in Andersonville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
