Eva Rose Watterson, 100, formerly of Warner Robins, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2007.
Mrs. Watterson was born on August 13, 1906 in Decatur, Alabama. She was a charter member of First Baptist Church of Warner Robins where she was a Sunday School Teacher and held various administrative church positions. Her faith in God and love of her family is a legacy that her children are proud to carry on. She was proud to be a member of the Warner Robins Pilot’s Club and Warner Robins Women’s Club where she served as past President of both clubs. She never wavered in her desire to do for others and spent countless hours offering a helping hand in whatever project was needed. Eva retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she was a Secretary. Her loving husband of fifty seven years, Aulton Watterson, passed away in 1982. She was also predeceased by her parents, Robert and Eva McKelvey Couch.
She will be missed by her children, Dr. Douglas Watterson, Jensen Beach, FL; Dr. Gene Watterson, Shelby, NC; and Sandra Dunkle, Spotsylvania, VA; eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at First Baptist Church of Warner Robins. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2007 in First Baptist Church of Warner Robins with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to First Baptist Church of Warner Robins, 1135 Watson Blvd. Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to the American Heart Association 3312 Northside Drive Ste. 140A Macon, GA 31210-0429.
