Evelyn A. Dudney, 87, entered into rest on Saturday, February 5, 2011.
Mrs. Dudney was born on September 6, 1923 in Centerburg, Ohio, and received her B.A. in Bible Education from Columbia Bible College in 1948. She was a civil servant for the United States Government in Washington, D.C. before retiring. Evergreen Baptist Church was her church home since 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Perry Dudney; parents, Clarence Edward Armstrong and Laura Lucille Poland Armstrong; daughter, Lorene Rigdon; grandson, Roy Keith Dudney; great-granddaughter, Ava Grace Watt; sisters, Eileen Downes and Freida Clough; and brother, Wendell K. Armstrong.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Mary Jo Wheeler (Steve), Las Vegas, Nevada, Margaret Hays (Cliff), Warner Robins, and Ken Dudney, Dublin; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Lowell R. Armstrong; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 8, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Pastor Joe Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
