Evelyn C. Wortham

Evelyn C. Wortham, 96, entered into rest on Monday, July 21, 2014.

Evelyn was born on October 15, 1917 in Cartersville, Georgia. She worked as the owner and operator of Peoples Rexall Drug Store in Warner Robins and Shop-Rite Food Stores in Florida for many years. Evelyn attended Centerville United Methodist Church and was a member of Holy Trinity Presbyterian Church in North Fort Myers, Florida. She was also a Charter Member of Eastern Stars in Warner Robins at Tyrian Lodge.

Her husband, Johnnie Wortham; her parents, Aticus B. and Ava Jane Carlisle; grandson Todd Dobson; three brothers; and one sister, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children; Joyce Wyatt (Bennie) of Warner Robins, Patricia Centeno of Warner Robins, Johnnie C. Wortham, Jr. (Gail) of Byron, David A Wortham of Byron, Georgia, and Mary Ann O'Shea (Ed) of Brighton Beach, New Jersey; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
