Evelyn Gertrude Leverett Caswell

On the evening of Monday, September 13, 2021, Evelyn Gertrude Caswell, joined her beloved husband, Jack Carroll Caswell, in Heaven. She was born on October 2, 1937, the daughter of the late James B. and Minnie G. Leverett.

Gertrude made a living as a beautician in the middle Georgia area for a number of years and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed living on the lake, as well, which was perfect for her love of fishing. Gertrude loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. Spending time with them was what brought her the greatest joy.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Teresa Hill, Jayne Wallace and Susan Fleming (Jimmy), all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Shelly Campbell, Jason Fleming (Janelle), Greg Hill (Brandy), Christi Flores (Victor), and Robbie and Jack Wallace; great-grandchildren, Taylor Campbell, Morgan Jarriel, Kimber Hill, Kason Hill, Ava Flores, Lola Flores, Ally Fleming, Reese Fleming and Brody Fleming, and Hayden Wallace; and great-great-grandchildren, Austyn and Tripp Jarriel.

Gertrude’s family will receive friends on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest with a graveside service in Parkway Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20, 2021 with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Gertrude to the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry St., Macon, GA 31201.
