Evelyn M. Hayes

Evelyn Murphy Hayes, 72, died Saturday, September 21, 2002 at home. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 24 in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Hospice of Houston County, 2066 Watson Boulevard, Warner Robins, 31093.

Mrs. Hayes was born in Swainsboro, Georgia. She was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeems F. Hayes, son, Jeems M. Hayes, Sr., and father, James Murphy.

Survivors include her mother Lydia Murphy, daughter, Vicki H. Claxton (Jerry), Perry; son, Ricky C. Hayes (Cindy), Perry; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hayes, Kathleen; brother, Jimmy Murphy, Swainsboro; sister, Mary Kent, Swainsboro;sister, Johnnie Boulineau, Swainsboro; sister, “Tessie” Greenway, Bartow, GA; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
