Evelyn T. Barnett

Evelyn T. Barnett, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2004. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Barnett was born in the village of Flippen, Georgia, and resided in Warner Robins. She was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, where she was a Clerk Supervisor. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church, the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, and the Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Barnett was preceded in death by her husband, John Ed Barnett; son, John Samuel Barnett; and parents, William and Nettie Thurston.

Survivors include her son, William “Bill” Barnett (Nancy), Centerville; daughter, Renie Barnett Smith (D.L.), Asheboro, NC; a sister, Eloise Henley, Locust Grove; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
