Faye Moore

Faye Moore of Kathleen, Georgia, passed away on August 8, 2024. Born in Thomaston, Georgia on May 2, 1947, Faye was the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Helms, formerly of Thomaston. Faye was preceded in death by her husband M.O. Leverette, Sr. (retired UPS) and her brother Charles A. “Chuck” Helms, Sr. She is survived by her sons Michael Moore (Wendy) of Fort Valley, Georgia and Jeffrey Moore of Sarasota, Florida; the father of her children, Donnie Moore (Susan); three grandchildren, Brandon Moore (Casey), Blake Moore (Nadia) and Abbey Moore (Blane Grace). She also leaves behind four great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and a loyal family friend, Ronald Lyons, and several nieces and nephews.

 It was her honor and privilege to be caregiver for her husband in the last years of his life. She was retired from Blue Bird Body Company, a former member of Bonaire Baptist Church and a graduate of Perry High School.

Visitation with Faye’s family will be Monday, August 12, 2024, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Magnolia Park Cemetery with Reverend Donnie Melton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Faye Moore to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
