Felicitas "Phyllis" Dennis

July 28, 1928 — October 10, 2024

Warner Robins

Felicitas “Phyllis” C. Dennis, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on the morning of October 10, 2024.

Born on July 28, 1928, in Angeles City, Philippines, Phyllis was the cherished daughter of the late Ireneo and Maria Natividad Cuyugan. As a young lady, she captured the heart of a spry military man, James Allen Dennis, who boldly approached her, declaring he would one day marry her. Their love blossomed, culminating in marriage fourteen months later. Together they shared 72 years of unconditional love.

As a devoted military wife, Phyllis traveled extensively, embracing joys of life on the move. A passionate traveler, she explored every U.S. state except Alaska, creating lasting memories along the way. Phyllis also tended to her beautiful rose garden every morning for nearly five decades after settling in Warner Robins.

Phyllis’s warmth and kindness were felt by everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to connect with others and never made an enemy. Phyllis will be remembered for her unwavering love and kindness.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her sister, Salve Fuss.

Phyllis is survived by her loving husband, James Allen Dennis; children, Anthony Allen Dennis of Beaufort, South Carolina, James Edward Dennis (Toni) of Orlando, Florida, and Diana Gayle Mizell (Allan) of Okinawa, Japan; grandchildren, Michael Mizell, Blake Dennis, Maria Mizell, Molly Dennis, Jeffrey Mizell; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, George Cuyugan of the Philippines; who will all forever carry her memory in their hearts.
