Flora Sims New

Flora Sims New, 86, entered into rest on Saturday, April 30, 2011.

Mrs. New was born on December 11, 1924 in Lanett, Alabama, and has lived in Warner Robins since 1959. A self-employed beautician, she operated one of the first beauty shops in Warner Robins before retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kretzer New; parents and two grandchildren.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Kathleen Studstill, Warner Robins, Ricks New, Merritt Island, Florida, Dawn Edwards (Mike), Byron, Mike New and Billy New, both of Warner Robins; brother, Joe Sims; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Bishop Jeff Poole officiating. Burial will be private.
