Francenah Marlene Mulkey

August 18, 1951 — January 4, 2022

After a long hard battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer, Marlene Mulkey, entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the age of 70. She was surrounded by her beloved family until the moment she took her last breath.
Born on August 18, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, Marlene was the daughter of the late John J. Allen and Effie Leora Easterly Eckert.

To say Marlene dedicated her life to her family would be an understatement. From the day her children were born, she was always with them. Throughout their years at school, Marlene took jobs to stay by her children’s side. She started as a lunch monitor and retired as a paraprofessional for the Houston County Board of Education after her grandson finished 2nd grade. Marlene left an unforgettable imprint on the minds of her many students and prepared each of them for a brighter future, making several friends along the way. She later took a job for a flower vendor and loved to stock and sell all the pretty trinkets; she especially loved fairies, unicorns, rainbows, and of course, the flowers. All will miss her unconditional love, smile, and the sweet tone of her voice.

Marlene was welcomed into Heaven by her parents, John J. Allen and Effie Leora Easterly Eckert.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her adoring husband of 33 years, William “Bill” F. Mulkey of Warner Robins; children, Soleil Rawls and Maury Phagan, both of Warner Robins; grandson, Graelon Rawls; and siblings, Steve and David Allen of Bentonville, Arkansas.
