Frances G. Patterson, 75, died Wednesday, January 2 at Houston Medical Center. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 5 at First Presbyterian Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to First Presbyterian Church, 1139 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, 31088.
Mrs. Patterson was born in Lincolnton, GA. She was graduated from Georgia College and State University where she received her BBA and then went on to receive her Masters of Education from Mercer University. Prior to receiving her Masters Degree she worked with the FBI in Atlanta for many years. She was retired from Miller Elementary where she had taught school for 30 years. She served as an officer of the Retired Educators Association and also volunteered at Miller Elementary after her retirement. She was a member of the Officer's Wives Club. Additionally, Mrs. Patterson was a member of First
Presbyterian Church since 1963. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ret. Lt. Col. Lee D. Patterson and her parents, William Roy Groves and Hattie Lou Groves.
Survivors include her four daughters, Laurie Odom, Bonaire; Jan Grace, Warner Robins; Joanie Patterson, Warner Robins; Angela McGuire, Warner
Robins; sisters, Eleanor Bradley, Eastly, SC; Dr. Rebecca Daneman, Milledgeville, GA; sister-in-law, Mozelle Groves, Jacksonville, FL; and her grandchildren, Jennifer and Holly Odom, Bonaire; and Sam and Dan Grace, Warner Robins.
