Frances Martine Jones

Frances Martine McCommon Jones, 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

Frances was born on November 5, 1946, in Clinchfield, Georgia, to the late Norman Otis McCommon, Sr., and Margaret Lee Yaughn McCommon. A dedicated professional, she served as the director of Toys "R" Us in Warner Robins, where she had the honor of opening the former local store. More than anything, Frances was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family, creating lasting memories. In her free time, she found joy in visiting Destin, Florida, and could often be found dancing to her favorite music, letting the rhythm lift her spirit. Frances will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.R. Jones, daughter Christie Carter, and siblings, Betty Jean Wright and Willie McCommon.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughter, Sherry Partain (Jeff); grandchildren, Brett Partain, Blake Partain, Cody Carter, Ben Grinstead, Zachary Adcock, and Emily Partain; great-grandchildren, Madilynn, Dexter, Olivia, Ellie Kate, and Brantley; siblings, Norman McCommon (Bonnie), Reba Menard, Evelyn Wilson; and special nieces and nephews, Michael, Denice, Clay, Dana and Dale, along with many other loving family members and friends.

The family offers a special thanks to all of the caregivers from The Phoenix at Lake Joy who assisted in loving and caring for Frances during her last days.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Frances will be laid to rest in Perry Memorial Gardens.
